1. Provider identification

SCATONI takes data protection seriously and ensures that your privacy is protected during your use of our website. Therefore, SCATONI provides instructions for data processing to explain the handling of your data. SCATONI reserves the right to adjust the content of this data privacy statement. Therefore we recommend to review this information on our data privacy statement on a regular basis.
2. Cookies
2.1. By using the SCATONI website, cookies will be saved on your computer. Cookies are small text files on your hard drive, associated with your browser and through which the party that sets the cookie (in this case SCATONI) obtains specific information. Cookies help us to optimize our offers or online shop, e.g. by collecting information about personal preferences or the virtual shopping cart without the possibility to identify a specific person. The blocking of cookies in the browser of your choice may also affect SCATONI’s website functionality. Some cookies help to optimize the website and make shopping easier and more pleasant.2.2. This website uses different cookies such as absolutely required cookies, functionality cookies, transient cookies (temporary use) and persistent cookies.
2.2.1. Absolutely required cookies are essential and allow you to navigate the SCATONI website and use basic functions. Without these required cookies, the shopping cart or order overview for example, cannot be made available.
2.2.2. Functionality cookies ensure that information regarding your settings are saved (e.g. region or language) and also help to update or save the shopping cart.
2.2.3. Transient cookies, like session cookies, will be deleted automatically when you close the browser. They save a session ID, through which the various search requests of your internet browser can be assigned to your joint session. Thus, your computer will be recognized again when you return to the website.
2.2.4. Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a specified period (time frame differs depending on the cookie). The cookies set by SCATONI will be saved for a maximum period of twelve months. Persistent cookies can usually be deleted in the security settings of the internet browser anytime.
3. Processing personal data for information purposes
3.1. Personal data refers to any data containing information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable customer, e.g. name, gender, residential address, nationality, phone number or e-mail address.3.2. If the website is used without any log in / registration process for the use of the website, or otherwise transfer information to SCATONI, we will not collect any personal data, with the exception of the data that the internet browser of your choice transmits to allow you to use the website (see: 2. Cookies). The internet browser transmits user data which is saved in log files. The data records saved in this internet communication link contain the following data: date and time of the query, time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), content of the query, IP-address, access status, data volume transmitted, website from which the query originates, browser type, version and language, terminal device and operating system and its interface. The log file data is evaluated anonymously for a statistical purpose and to optimize our website. After having analyzed the data, it will be deleted.
4. Personal data and duration of data storage
4.1. SCATONI will process personal data only with consent, to the extent that they are required for the transaction or use of services or based on a provision of law. SCATONI will process such personal data only or that you voluntarily make them available to SCATONI.4.2. By clicking on the ‘register’ button, you create a customer account with SCATONI and thus agree to the saving of your personal data provided.
4.3. Any personal data will be processed as long as necessary for the performance of the contract or service provision. The data may be processed beyond the aforementioned based on statutory or legal obligations.
5. Collection, processing and use of personal data
5.1. Besides the use of the SCATONI website merely for information purposes (see: 4. Personal data and duration of data storage), SCATONI offers various services of interest but needs additional personal data to provide the various services. If it made possible to enter additional voluntary data, such data will be marked accordingly.5.2. When contacting SCATONI by e-mail or through the contact form, your e-mail address and your given name and telephone number will be saved by SCATONI to respond to your inquiry.
5.3. Before ordering from the SCATONI online shop, you have to choose between a ‘guest order’ (the data required to process the order is saved only for this order) or a customer account in which your personal data will be saved for further purchases. The necessary data for the ‘guest order’ processing of the transaction is marked accordingly whereas any other information is voluntary. By using a password protected account, the provided personal data is saved, with the possibility of a revocation. After having logged in with the registered access data, the information that must be entered in the order form will be populated automatically with your information. In the customer account, you can view the data of your completed, outstanding or recently shipped orders and correct or manage your provided data. You are able to delete the account in the customer section at any time. For any order, SCATONI requires the correct name (first name and surname), address (invoice or different delivery address) as well as your preferred payment method and e-mail address (e.g. for confirmation of receipt or an order confirmation). In addition your date of birth is required to verify that you are of legal age.
5.4. To protect your personal data the order process will be encrypted by means of SSL (secure socket layer) technology. SCATONI will collect, process and use your data provided for your enquiries, the entire processing of the purchase including any warranty claims and for technical administration purposes. Your personal data will be passed to third parties or otherwise transmitted if this is necessary for the processing of the contract, for billing or if you have previously consented. As part of the order processing, the service providers used by SCATONI (especially suppliers or transport companies) shall receive the data required for the processing of the order and contract. The aforementioned data may be used by SCATONI’s service providers only for the purpose of performing their assignment. Any other use of the information is not permitted and shall not take place at any service provider commissioned by SCATONI.
5.5. SCATONI offers a free newsletter. To sign up for the quarterly newsletter, SCATONI uses the 'double opt-in' procedure. SCATONI will therefore send you a confirmation e-mail after you have entered your e-mail address in which SCATONI will request that you confirm your request to receive the newsletter. In case you request to receive the SCATONI newsletter, your e-mail address is saved until you unsubscribe in order to send you the newsletter. In addition, SCATONI will save your IP address and the period of time at both registration and confirmation in order to prevent the abuse of your personal data. You may revoke your consent anytime with effect for the future and notify your objection by clicking on the link provided in each newsletter e-mail ('unsubscribe'), or by e-mail to contact@scatoni.com or by a notice (e.g. by fax or letter) to the SCATONI contact details specified above. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties other than aforementioned.
6. Claims concerning personal data; revocation
6.1. You may also alter or revoke your declaration of consent for the use, processing and transmission of your personal data as well as for the use of your personal data at any time to the extent legally permitted by notice to SCATONI (contact data above), without stating any reasons. You may have explicitly given SCATONI declaration(s) of consent which SCATONI has logged. Under the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz, “TMG”), SCATONI is obliged to keep the contents of declarations of consent available for retrieval at any time. You may revoke any declaration of consent with future effect at any time. Also you can notify an objection by sending an e-mail to contact@SCATONI.de or by a notice (e.g. by fax or letter) to the SCATONI contact data (see above: 6.1.).
